Our 2007 Schedule is now online! Mark will be making a mix of stops at both big and small arenas, including several televised shows. The team got off to a strong start for 2007, with Mark taking the racing win over Grave Digger on the Chicago-style course in Des Moines, Iowa Saturday night. He turned in solid freestyles all weekend as well.

"It was a good way to start the season," said Mark. "We have a good team, and had I stayed off the turning poles in the other shows during racing, I think we could have taken more than one win."

Also, Devastator crewman Jim Burns will be the subject of our next update. Look for his surprise very soon!

Big news on all fronts this week for Team Devastator. In Wichita, Kansas, Mark took Devastator to a racing and freestyle win Friday night, and was solid the rest of the weekend. Next up is a big show in Minneapolis.

"I've felt good about the first two weeks, even though we hit snow on the way back from Wichita," he said. "I'm hoping to do well in racing in Minny, and I hope our luck with mechanical stuff holds out."

Also, Devastator crewman Jim Burns has finally realized his dream of owning and driving his own monster truck. It will be sent for powder coating in one week, and he is in the process of getting a trailer to haul it in. The truck had its first testing session in Jim's hometown of Rockford, Illinois back on November 26, and everything went well. Jim put the truck through its paces, including several jumps and high speed runs.

"Everything went well, and it's good to see six years of hard work finally pay off," he said.

Burns plans to possibly run a few shows during the summer season, and the truck will be fully ready by winter of 2007. Burns would like to thank Mark Thomas, Mark Schroeder, and Jim Koehler for all their help and support.

Any parties interested in small-product sponsorship for Burns' operation are encouraged to contact him at (815) 601-5633 or e-mail robert@devastatormonstertruck.com. We appreciate all support, and no product is too big or small!

Mark and Team Devastator enjoyed a productive season, and with the exception of some breakage in Fargo, North Dakota (broken spindle and body damage suffered during a big hit in freestyle), things have went "extremely well" according to him. Highlights included qualifying and racing well in both Minneapolis stops, and strong freestyles all around. The team Devastator way is to run hard and not break, and this is exactly what happened during the first quarter of 2007. Mark has a little break in action, then a busy summer schedule coming up. We will have photos from Fargo, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis online as soon as possible. Thanks for visiting the site!

Mark has been running the Felon body for awhile now, and recently took a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells for a few car crushes sporting the new wheel covers. Mark plans to have a new engine in the truck by summer's end, and is very excited about that. Felon merchandise is on the way, and our Schedule page is updated with new events!

Mark's latest shows included an exhausting four-shows-in-four-days tour through Columbus, Nebraska, Lacrosse, Wisconsin, and Rockford, Illinois, and his annual show for Perrin Motorsports in Houghton, Michigan, where he lost in the finals of racing and had another solid freestyle performance.

"Things are going pretty well right now, just solid," said Mark. "We have a new 500 (cubic inch) engine going in the truck soon, and I'm looking forward to the power I'll have with it."

The month of August was not busy for him, but shows are rapidly approaching. A display at the grand opening of Franklin Automotive in Franklin, WI has been added, and Joliet, Illinois at Route 66 will be on October 6. We are in the process of a new look for the site and new 8 by 10's for both Devastator and The Felon, so stay tuned!

Joliet was a great success for Mark and team Felon. No breakage and a great freestyle that included three excellent slap wheelies highlighted the weekend. Photos and more information about the team's schedule are on the way! For now, check out the video of the event at the link below:

In addition, Devastator crewman Jim Burns continues his early success behind the wheel of his new truck, Mechanical Mischief (you may remember this from our earlier updates about his test session). A solid, no-breakage debut in Lacrosse, Wisconsin and another solid show this past weekend in Woodstock, Illinois that included a nice slap wheelie of his own were highlights. Anyone looking to book Jim's truck can contact him at 815-601-5633.
