Reports from Pontiac indicate that Mark Schroeder took Devastator to the racing semifinals for the second week in a row, and had a solid freestyle run with several slap wheelies. The team is headed home now and will be checking in soon! Next week, Mark is headed to Kansas City for three shows in three days.

January 28, 2005

Kansas City, Missouri was Team Devastator's third stop in 2005, and it was a solid weekend. Mark Schroeder finished in the semifinals of racing and top three in freestyle in every day but one of the three show, three day weekend.

"I felt good about how everything went; we had no breakage and good, solid performances," he said. The team is traveling to Indianapolis for a televised Monster Jam to be held tomorrow, and photos and more from Kansas City (and perhaps a few old school photos) will be up very soon!

February 2, 2005

Mark Schroeder took Devastator to Indianapolis, Indiana with high hopes of an impressive showing during the televised Monster Jam on January 29, but left with some issues to resolve for Rockford, Illinois next weekend (Note-Check the Schedule page, it has now been updated. Schroeder was originally headed to Fargo, North Dakota instead of Rockford). The night started well for Schroeder in racing. He defeated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Brutus on the way to his fourth consecutive weekend in the final four of racing. The new Bob and Tom truck, driven by Guy Wood, edged Devastator by about half a tire on the way to the event win.

Freestyle was spectacular all around, and Devastator was just joining the fray when his engine exploded, leaving the crew scrambling to repair everything in time for next weekend's show.

"We were up until 2:30 in the morning putting the truck in the trailer, and 2:30 the next morning getting the engine taken out," said Schroeder. "We are hoping to get some parts in and want to make the next show. Things were going great until this happened, and I just want to make the next show."

We wish Mark and crew the best of luck with the repairs for the next show, and hope to see you all there!

February 8, 2005

Mark Schroeder and Devastator headed to Rockford, Illinois after a long week of making repairs to the engine the team damaged in Indianapolis, Indiana the week before. They emerged with a solid weekend, which is just what Schroeder wanted.

"We really wanted to come and have a solid show after last weekend, and now we're looking forward to St. Louis (Missouri) next weekend," said Schroeder.

Devastatormonstertruck.com will have an online store available soon, and more photos to come! We appreciate all e-mails and make sure Mark gets to see every one of them.

Our online store is now available; enjoy! We have more to add to it in the future.

February 17, 2005

Mark Schroeder and Devastator made the trip to the televised St. Louis Monster Jam and had another solid night, advancing to the semifinals in racing, where he would lose to the eventual winner, Tom Meents (Maximum Destruction). In freestyle, Devastator had a solid run highlighted by a slap wheelie after landing from a double stacked car set. He was scored an 18 as the second truck out of 10 to run.

"Overall I was happy with how the weekend went," said Schroeder. "I got my bell rung a bit by the slap wheelie in freestyle, but that was about all that was bad. I really feel like racing has been my strong point this season; we have yet to not make it to the final four at any event, and I'm pleased with that."

This weekend the team travels to Minneapolis, Minnesota for Schroeder and the Devastator's last event for a few weeks. It is a televised event once again, and Mark has told us he is looking forward to returning to the Metrodome and running hard. We will have all the updates when he returns!

In the meantime, our online Store has been updated with a new item and more information on the previous items. Enjoy!

February 24, 2005

Devastator finished out the first quarter of 2005 in Minneapolis this past weekend at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After qualifying second to Tom Meents and Maximum Destruction at the televised event, Mark Schroeder was paired up with Dennis Anderson's Grave Digger in the first round. Schroeder did not have front steering in qualifying or this matchup, and although he made the best of his situation, Anderson took the win, ending Devastator's racing streak of making the semifinals every race this season. Freestyle did not go as planned either. After a few hits on the cars, Schroeder took to the largest obstacle on the track, a car-van-bus-box truck-van-car pyramid, and took a rough landing after scaling it, snapping the rear tie rod and ending his run early.

"I didn't want things to happen how they did in Minneapolis, but there was nothing we could do," said Schroeder. "Racing was definitely my strong point this season, and I hope to put it all together next season."

In the meantime, Devastator is looking for more bookings for the summer, and the schedule is updated to include the current summer bookings. If interested, e-mail robert@devastatormonstertruck.com. Thank you for visiting devastatormonstertruck.com!

Our Links section is now updated, along with the debut of the Sponsors page, and slight updates to the online Store. Mark would like to thank all of his sponsors for their continued support!

March 17, 2005

Mark is currently in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he will be a pit reporter for the Monster Jam World Finals and also may be doing some calling of the event. He may not be competing, but rest assured he will be busy! The following week, he is headed to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Devastatormonstertruck.com will have the full scoop from there as well! Check out our Online Store and Sponsors pages as well, they have been updated. Thanks for visiting Devastatormonstertruck.com!

March 24, 2005

Mark and Team Devastator have returned from Las Vegas, where he was a pit reporter and commentator for the show. Tomorrow, he begins a two-show, two-day Torgeson Motorsports event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and we will have the scoop there! Also, check out http://www.monsternationals.com/ for events in Erie, PA and Durham, NH that Devastator will attend this summer; they will be added to the Schedule page!

March 26, 2005

Night one from Milwaukee's Torgeson Motorsports show is in the books, and it was a wild one. Mark took Devastator to the Wheelie contest win, then finished second in racing and second in freestyle. The good night quickly turned into a stressful one, however, when upon coming back to the pits after freestyle, Mark and crew discovered the rear of the truck had major problems. The ring and pinion and more were broken, and it will take some work to be ready in time for the second show in Milwaukee tonight.

"We tore the truck down last night and we will finish it in time for the show today," said Mark. "We always enjoy performing in front of the hometown crwod, and we'll give them a good show tonight; the damage will be fixed in plenty of time."

April 23, 2005

Our Sponsors page has once again been updated. Recapping the past few weeks, Mark made the trip to Utica, New York for three evening shows this past weekend for a freestyle-only show. "It was solid, but unspectacular on my part, in my opinion," said Mark. This weekend Mark is in Durham, New Hampshire for the Monster Nationals, and will be headed to Erie, Pennsylvania the following weekend (see the Schedule page, also updated), with more to come soon. Look for updates to our online store in the near future, and thanks for visiting devastatormonstertruck.com!

May 16, 2005

Mark and the Devastator team have a few weeks off before their next event, and it is probably a good thing for now.

"The past couple of weeks have not been very good for us; we've had a lot of breakage, including our spare motor in the truck going away on us in Erie, Pennsylvania. I barely made one pass and it was done."

Mark would like to thank George Eisenhart (Monster Nationals) and Jeff and Jocelyn Perrin (Lil Miss Dangerous/Perrin Motorsports) for their help and support during those times. He was forced to sit out the Hancock, Michigan event because of the engine problem in Erie the previous evening, but announced the show instead. More information and updates are to come, including some hot new additions to our online store and driver/team bios!

After putting a new 460 cubic inch engine in the truck, things have picked up for Mark and the team.

"The truck felt good after the new motor," said Mark. "We had a few minor problems but overall it felt great."

The Schedule page will soon be updated, as Mark has added more summer shows!

August 7, 2005

Mark took Devastator out for double duty in Tomah, Wisconsin for Checkered Flag Productions and a freestyle-only show in West Bend, Wisconsin, and it was a highly successful weekend. In Tomah, Mark swept the event, defeating Bigfoot in the finals after qualifying three tenths of a second faster than the rest of the field on the long straight line track. In freestyle, Mark's momentum and big hits on the cars earned him the win as well.

From there, it was off to West Bend after a few hours of sleep, where he performed a few freestyle runs for fans before heading home for a couple of weeks off before Hancock, Michigan.

Our Photo Gallery has been updated with photos from Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and St. Louis! Enjoy!

July 19, 2005

It was an interesting weekend for the Devastator team long before the Columbus, Nebraska Monster Nationals took place. The team's arrival was delayed by two blown trailer tires, but eventually all was well. Mark took Devastator to the semifinals in racing and had an impressive, momentum-filled freestyle run.

"It was a good weekend after we got there," said Mark with a laugh. "We didn't break anything and it was a good show overall."

Our photo gallery is now updated with more shows from 2005 including St. Louis and Minneapolis. Enjoy!

July 14, 2005

August 26, 2005

This weekend Devastator will be performing at the Houghton County Fair in Michigan along with Lil' Miss Dangerous, Avenger, Brutus, and Project X. We will have full results and photos as soon as the show tomorrow is completed, and look for a few changes to the site soon as well!

August 28, 2005

Houghton has come and gone for the Devastator team and it was another breakage-free weekend with solid racing and freestyle. Devastator defeated Project X in round one of racing, then fell to event finalist Jocelyn Perrin and Lil' Miss Dangerous. Freestyle was solid, with several hits on the van stack and a few mini slap wheelies.

"Houghton was good; we didn't break anything and that was important. We will need to get ready for the winter season after a few more shows, so we want things to continue to go well."

Mark pulled double duty on the weekend as well, acting as event announcer when he was not behind the wheel. The event broke attendance records set last year and Mark informed the crowd that more than 7,000 spectators had filled the fair to see the monsters.

Mark's next event will be a Night of Destruction with Lil' Miss Dangerous in Lacrosse, Wisconsin in exactly two weeks, on September 10.

September 13, 2005

It was a busy weekend in Lacrosse, Wisconsin for Mark and Devastator. On July 10, the Devastator and Lil' Miss Dangerous trucks were scheduled to do two rounds of freestyle at the Lacrosse Fairgrounds Speedway for the Coca-Cola "Night of Destruction." There were some obstacles on the way, however.

"A couple of hours before the show, we discovered that Lil' Miss Dangerous had a broken front ring and pinion and we had to thrash to get Jocelyn (Perrin) ready to go," said Mark.

The thrash was made successfully and each truck freestyled once, with Mark pushing around a single car and Jocelyn doing some crazy donuts as their highlights. Devastator would not make the night without problems, however, when a car punctured the truck's right rear tire, sending the crew into another thrash to get the truck ready for the second freestyle. Repairs were made in time and the truck held up well in addition to Lil' Miss Dangerous.

Mark heads to Rockford, Illinois with Perrin again for another Night of Destruction this weekend. Look for photos from Lacrosse and Houghton soon!

November 23, 2005

Mark, Jock Lolitz, and Doug Hansen's bios are now available in the Bio section. Enjoy!

November 9, 2005

Rockford, Illinois and Elko, Minnesota rounded out the final part of Mark and Devastator's summer.

"The summer went well overall and we have great help on our team; I'm really excited about next season," said Mark.

Ever wonder what happened to Mark's old Devastator truck? The answer is in our short gallery below. Doug Hansen, who is also a great help to our team as a crew member, bought the truck from Mark, and it will eventually become a full-fledged ride/display truck. Photos are below:

December 22, 2005

Devastator's 2006 Schedule is now online at the Schedule page. We also have put up photos from Indianapolis that were missing from the 2005 gallery in the Photos section.

 January 30, 2006

The first month of the 2006 season is in the books for Devastator, and it has been solid for the team in stops at Des Moines, Iowa, Wichita, Kansas, Evansville, Indiana, and Indianapolis, Indiana.

"I feel good about everything so far," said Mark. "The new headers and engine combination we have is working great; I have a lot of power. The shows have been solid so far and we've driven the truck in the trailer unhurt most times."

Mark's next stop is Peoria, Illinois. We will have photos from 2006 online soon.

February 22, 2006

Peoria, Illinois and Minneapolis, Minnesota were the most recent stops on Mark and Team Devastator's schedule. In Peoria, it was Bruce Hubbard driving instead of Mark.

"I wanted to give Bruce a chance to get used to the new truck before he hopped into it in Milwaukee," said Mark. "He did a good job and actually ended up tearing the bedsides and tailgate up a bit, but we got things fixed."

In Minneapolis, Devastator was one of three trucks to go the entire night without breakage after hitting a turn pole in racing and pulling off a solid freestyle. Mark's next event will be the first ever in Pontiac, Michigan at the new Ford Field.

"We're looking forward to a good show!" he said.

Our photos page is updated with Josh Rhodes' Peoria, Illinois shots. Enjoy!

March 12, 2006

Mark is currently wrapping up a show in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Our Schedule page has been updated slightly again. Devastator's past few stops have been up and down, including setting one of the top qualifying times in St. Louis before an early round loss, and solid freestyles at both St. Louis and Pontiac, Michigan, where a broken axle shaft hindered the truck.

Tommy Lee Byrd's photos from Chattanooga, Tennesee are now available at the photos section. Thank you for visiting Devastatormonstertruck.com!

May 9, 2006

We have updated the Schedule page with Mark's summer appearances.

The team recently finished up a whirlwind weekend, with three shows, two days, in two different cities.

"We went to Bloomington, Illinois for two Monster Nationals shows, then up to Hastings, Michigan with just (Andy Hoffman's) Nitemare and I," said Mark. "We had solid shows and no breakage, so things went well. I was happy with getting two good slap wheelies in Hastings as well."

Mark's next show is in Elko, Minnesota. We will be updating our photo gallery and online store soon also.

August 23, 2006

Team Devastator has had many solid shows lately, including a length-of-the-grounds slap wheelie in Columbus, Michigan.

"We had the truck plowing the fields pretty good on that one," said Mark with a laugh.

Mark is also happy to announce the debut of a new body and name for the truck, only for select shows.

"What we will be doing is running the Devastator body and name most of the time, then getting our other name going for some shows where the promoters who have seen Devastator before and want something diferent," he said.

Photos of the new body in progress will be available soon. Mark's next show is in Houghton, Michigan this weekend.

"We have a tire to change by the time we leave, so things will be busy, but I'm looking forward to the show," says Mark.

September 9, 2006

Houghton, Michigan went well for Mark and the team, where Devastator picked up the racing win and had a standout freestyle as well. The team is in Lacrosse, Wisconsin today for the debut of Mark's new body-The Felon.

"I'm really excited about it," said Mark. "We've been having some good shows lately, and I'd like to get the new body debuted well in Lacrosse."

Check out our Photo Gallery for pictures of the body in progress, as well as some photo updates from the past year. We will have shots of the new body's first performance here soon also.

September 14, 2006

The Felon is here! Mark debuted Devastator's second body with style in Lacrosse this past weekend, turning in two aggressive freestyle runs under the new name. Check out our photos from the show in the Photos section now!
